For all our major measured building survey services, we use the FARO S70 3D laser scanner. It is a first-class scanner from a well established and trusted brand.
The device has a range between 0.6 to 70m with a maximum accuracy error of +/- 1mm. It is portable and runs on two batteries, allowing to undertake a 3D laser scanning survey of up to nine hours without any access to electric power sockets.
The scanner is also equipped with GPS, compass, height sensor, WLAN, Dual Axis Compensator and a 360-degree colour HDR camera facilities up to 165 Mio. Pixel. Data is captured faster with speed of almost 1,000,000 points per second. Used for all our London jobs, this tool is the perfect fit for capturing efficient, precise indoor and outdoor measurements in three dimensions. SCENE WEBSHARE CLOUD
Working alongside FARO hardware and technology, we use Faro SCENE software for scan processing and registration. The latest update to this software enables us to process 3D laser scanning survey data using the full power of a PC’s CPU. This saves us lots of time and effort – especially when working on PCs which were specifically built to work with Scene and 3D software.

WebShare Cloud – a hosted web-based service from FARO – allows us to share and collaborate worldwide in real time. It is the easiest and most secure method of sharing of scan project data.
Autodesk ReCap is used to export point cloud data into desired end formats for our clients. Alternatively, ReCap is also used to take measurements away from point cloud, for generating virtual tours and accessing 360 imagery that is attached to the point cloud.

AUTODESK AUTOCAD 2D
AutoCAD is computer aided design (CAD) tool which is most commonly used amongst designers, contractors and architects. AutoCAD 2D is efficient software that does not have extensive computer system requirements to operate, and has been a standard in the measured building survey industry for decades.

Autodesk Revit is building information modelling (BIM) software designed for architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, designers and contractors. The main difference with Revit compared to AutoCAD is that, as well as producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings, Revit creates intelligent 3D BIM models of buildings which can then be used to produce construction documentation.
